Iva Earline Guillory, 87, of Lake Charles died on Wednesday, August 07, 2013 in Newton, TX.
Mrs. Guillory was born on July 6, 1926 and was raised in Elton where she attended Elton High School. She moved to Lake Charles in 1947 and worked for 16 1/2 years at Sears as a catalog order clerk.
She enjoyed spending time with her family and adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She had a strong faith in the Lord and was a member of Lake City Baptist Church. Mrs. Guillory was known for her sewing abilities and was an amazing seamstress and was also known for her famous apple pies. She also took great pride in her flower gardens.
Those left to cherish her memory are two daughters, Rhonda Lynne Manuel and husband Larry and Kristina Robin Wilkinson and husband Richard all of Lake Charles; one brother, Wilson Duhon of Lake Charles; three sisters, Zella Cupit of Westlake, Ina Patrick of Sulphur, and Windola Osborne of Utica, MI; nine grandchildren, Jennifer Martin, Wilkin Manuel, Kimberly Richoux, Rhonda Worshek, Troy, Dwain, Jason, and Brent Wilkinson, and Natalie Falke; and seventeen great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Wilkin Guillory.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, August 10, 2013 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Ronnie Estes will officiate. Burial will follow in Liberty Cemetery in Elton, LA. Visitation will begin on Friday from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM and will continue on Saturday from 8:00 AM until the start of the services.
