Ivin Lloyd Fruge, Sr.

Lloyd Fruge' was born in Iota, Louisiana on June 5, 1925. He was called home to his Father in Heaven on November 13, 2010 in Beaumont, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Clara Louise Perry Fruge'; sons, Bobby Lee and Joseph Seldon Fruge'; his grandson, Dennis Keith Fruge'; brother, Leroy Fruge', and parents, Asa and Louresia Fruge'.

He is survived by his sister, Lennie Chaisson; his sons, Lloyd Jr., Roger, Nick Fruge; and daughter, Lekita Louise Fruge' Wallace. He was the proud grandfather of 16 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his second wife, caregiver and companion Annie Portie.

Lloyd worked in the construction industry and was employed by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, as a supervisor and builder of churches throughout the United States. He was appreciative for the time others sacrificed to spend with him. The family would like to thank Oakwood Manor for the care he received.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, November 17, 2010, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Vidor, TX. Following that will be graveside services will be held at 2 PM at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home.
