Ivy "Bobby" Jason David

Funeral services for Mr. Ivy Bobby J. David, 75, of Sulphur, will be held at 11am, Wednesday, May 05, 2010 at Our Lady of LaSalette Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Mimosa Pines Cemetery, Carlyss. Visitation will begin on Tuesday, May 4, 2010 at Robison Funeral Home Chapel from 3pm " 9pm. A rosary will be held at 6:30 pm on Tuesday with a Cursillo Rosary immediately following. Mr. David passed away on Saturday May 1, 2010 in Sulphur hospital. He was met at the gates of Heaven by his Parents: Jason and Una David; and grandchildren, Samantha Gayle David and Jayson Jude Hardin. Mr. David served his country during the Berlin crisis in the U. S. Army. He was a dedicated servant of the City of Sulphur, as commissioner of Streets and Parks for 16 years. He retired with a total of 28 years service. He was a member of Our Lady of LaSalette Catholic Church. He loved to hunt and fish and be outdoors. His zest for life (Joie-de-vivre) will be missed by all that loved and knew him. He is survived by his two children: Brian David of Sulphur, and Denise David Bryant also of Sulphur; three grandchildren, Justin Luke Terro of Sulphur, Matthew Charles David of Carlyss and Loren Celeste David also of Carlyss; one sister, Laura Jane Westerman of Richardson, Tx; seven nieces and nephews, and a host of other family and friends. Pallbearers will be: Laury Guidry, Joe Young, Judd Suarez, Robert Suarez, Raygan Suarez, and Charles H. (Bully) Bergeron.
