J. Annie Boudreaux

June 17, 1929 — September 14, 2022

Annie Boudreaux passed away on September 14, 2022 in the comfort of her home. She was born on June 17, 1929 to George and Altia Boudreaux in Vinton, LA.

Annie was an avid bowler until the age of 90.  She loved to travel.  She served for many years as a volunteer in the Christus St. Patrick Hospital Gift Shop and Crossroads Catholic Book Store.  She was an active member of Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, serving on the Altar Society and Rosary Team.  She retired after serving as Executive Secretary for Cities Service Oil Company, and Occidental Petroleum Company.

Those left to cherish her memory are, her sister, Neldia E. Blanchette; her sister-in-law, Liz Boudreaux; her nieces, Marlene Blanchette Ivey, Denise Boudreaux, Paula Blanchette Lundy and Jane Martino Landry; her nephews, Gary Blanchette and Ronnie Blanchette; ten great nieces and nephews; and seven great great nieces and nephews.

Annie was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Andrus Boudreaux; her nieces, Waldia Gayle Blanchette and Joye Blanchette Frith; and her nephew, David Andrus Boudreaux.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 AM on Saturday, September 17, 2022 at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church.  Visitation will be at Johnson Funeral Home, located at 4321 Lake Street from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM with a rosary being recited at 6:00 PM on Friday, September 16, 2022.  Cremation has been entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home.
