Jack Kevin Beard

Jack Beard, 51, of Sulphur, passed away on August 10, 2011 in his residence. Funeral services will be on Saturday, August 13, 2011 at 11a.m. at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church with Father Gerald Boulanger officiating. Burial will be at Big Woods Cemetery in Edgerly, LA under the direction of Robison Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Friday, August 12, 2011 in the funeral home from 1-9p.m. with a rosary at 6p.m. and will resume on Saturday at 9a.m. until time of service. Jack was a native and lifelong resident of Sulphur. He was a 1979 graduate of Sulphur High School and worked in the oil and gas industry as a warehouse manager for many years. Jack was a member of the Knights of Columbus 3015, Cursillo 424 and Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church. Jack is survived by his wife, Peggie Beard of Sulphur, daughter, Hannah Beard of Sulphur, brother, Doug Beard and wife, Debbie of Sulphur, two sisters, Dee LaBorde of Sulphur and Janet Brown and husband, Clyde of Sulphur, two brothers-in-law, James Dupre and wife, Sue of Sulphur and Danny Dupre and wife, Melanie of Vinton. He was preceded in death by his parents, Merlin and Mavis Beard.
