Jackie Glenn Cooper

Jackie G. "Cosmo" Cooper, 46, of Westlake passed away, Wednesday, September 29, 2010 in a Shreveport hospital.

Jackie was a native and life long resident of the Lake Charles/Westlake area. He was a welder by trade, but loved to fish whether he caught anything or not. Jackie loved music, cooking, singing, and making people laugh.

Survivors include his wife of twenty-eight years, Keena Smith Cooper; two daughters, Contessa and Amber Cooper; two grandchildren, Nathaniel Glenn Cooper and McKinzie Leigh Mitchell; his father and stepmother, William H. Cooper and Carol Cooper; two sisters, Cheryl Cooper Thompson and Donna Dukes, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Ann Wold Cooper.

His funeral will be at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, October 5, 2010 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Ricky Treece will officiate. Burial will be in Farquhar Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM, Monday, and continue from 9:00 AM until time of service, Tuesday, in the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations made to the family for outstanding medical and funeral expenses.
