Jacklyn Renee Russell

December 17, 1992 — July 31, 2023

Jacklyn Renee Guillory was born December 17, 1992 in Lake Charles, LA.

In the words of Janice Trachtman “Everything is within your power, and your power is within you.

Her small stature was no indication of the abundance of strength, tenacity, and love she possessed.  In the thirty years she lived on this Earth, she overcame numerous obstacles; surgeries at birth, scoliosis, and even cancer. No matter what was thrown her way, she was not jaded nor hardened. She lived everyday with a positive outlook, kind heart, and endless love for her family.

Of the many obstacles she faced and been proud of, none of them compared to how proud she was to be a wife and mother. She and Ricky began dating March 18, 2013, and it was by October of the same year they knew they were meant for one another. Their love was strong and pure, together they shared over ten years together before they exchanged vows on April 27, 2023.

Together they raised and nurtured their four children, it was this that she was most proud of. She lived by example, teaching them to believe in themselves, remain kind, humble, and to value family.

As a wife and mother, she gave it her all to love and provide for them, even on her worst days she ensured they came home to a cooked meal and never were left wanting. She was simple in what brought her joy, time with her family, whether it was a BBQ, crawfish & crab boils, or cheering for the Texans. Not because she liked the game, but because she could get the whole house in an uproar when they played the Saints. It was not often she and Ricky did things without the kids, but when they did, you would find them canoeing the Ouiska Chitto. The outdoors always called to her, many days she would tinker in the yard, work on her gardens, or just enjoy the sunlight as they kids played outside.

She was welcomed with open arms into Heaven on July 31, 2023 by her brother and best friend, Lucas Marcantel; and a nephew, Eli Paul Marcantel.
