Jacqueline Dickinson

Jacqueline Evelyn Dickinson 72, of Lake Charles died at 9:00 AM Saturday, July 16, 2011 in her residence with her loving family at her side.


Mrs. Dickinson was born in Akron, Ohio and has lived in Lake Charles for the several past years. She was a 1957 graduate of Bechtel High School in Akron. In her younger years she was active in Lake Charles Little Theater and Artists Civic Theater and Studio. She had the lead roll in "Auntie Mame", "Any Wednesday", and parts in other plays. Mrs. Dickinson was of the Episcopal Faith.


She is survived by her husband of 47 years Perry R. Dickinson of Lake Charles; one son Kenneth P. Dickinson and his wife Angie of Denton, TX; one daughter Rebecca Reed of Lake Charles; three sisters Judy Lorenz of Mesa, AZ, Jeri Howe of Auburn, WA, and Joy Hatchett of Marble Falls, TX; five grandchildren, Kendall, Benjamin and Lillian Dickinson all of Denton, TX and Peri and Carter Reed both of Lake Charles, LA.


Jacqueline is preceded in death by her parents Evelyn and Kenneth Howe.


A memorial service will be held at a later date. Johnson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
