Jacqueline "Jackie" Miller

Jacqueline “Jackie” Miller, 64, of Lake Charles passed away on Thursday, August 9, 2018 in a Houston hospital surrounded by family.

 

Jackie was born on September 30, 1953 in Eunice and lived all of her life in Lake Charles where she was a graduate of LaGrange High School. In her earlier years she worked for many fast food chains as a manager and later worked for Karen Ogden Dance Studio for several years before retiring. Jackie enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren, crocheting, shopping, playing in her flower beds, and especially dancing with friends.

 

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Kimberly Chaisson (Chuck) of Sulphur, Kristie Bergeron (Craig) of Lake Charles, and Velvet Broussard (Brian) of Sulphur; brother, Kenneth Miller (Robin) of Lake Charles; sisters, Shirlene Miller of Moss Bluff and Connie Trahan Andry (Kenith) of Westlake; eight grandchildren, Roy, Christopher “Bradley”, and Ashley Chaisson, Callie Nunez (Jarrett), Emily Bergeron, and Kylie, Kourtlynn, and Kynadee Broussard; and four great grandchildren, Aiden, Imrye, and Ritchie Chaisson, and Addison “Addy” Bergeron.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Vera Marie and Roy Joseph Miller, Sr.; brother, Roy Joseph Miller, Jr.; sister, Karen Sanders; and great grandson, John Nunez.

 

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, August 14, 2018 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Rick Batchelor will officiate. Cremation will follow services. Visitation will begin on Monday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM with a celebration of life to be held at 6:00 PM. A Holy Catholic Rosary will be led by the Junior Catholic Daughters of America Court #1255 at 7:00 PM. Visitation will resume on Tuesday from 10:00 AM until the start of the service.
