Jaimori "Mori" Jacobe Johnson

July 24, 1998 — February 12, 2021

Jaimori JaCobe “Mori” Johnson, 22 of Lake Charles, LA was called Home on February 12, 2021.

Jaimori was born on July 24, 1998 in Lake Charles and was a life long resident of Southwest Louisiana and Texas.

When you look up the meaning of Jaimori; it stands for handsome and grace. In knowing Jaimori, you’d remember his infectious smile adorning his handsome face and how he gracefully kept everyone around him smiling and laughing. His family was the most important thing in his life, he could always be counted on to be there in a time of need. He was dutiful and diligent to them, especially to his baby girl, A’mari.

If he wasn’t spending time with his family, you’d find him playing basketball, or dancing to the beat of his favorite music. He never sat down to watch a basketball or football game when visiting with his grandparents, but you’d be surprised just what he could tell you about the game and its player as he quickly passed through the living room.

He was welcomed into Heaven by his sisters A’Tasha Hardy and Octavia Jack; his grandparents Glenda Rideau and Paul Rigmaiden.

Those left to cherish his memory are; his parents Sonya M. Hardy and Robert L. Johnson Jr.; his daughter, “His Baby”, Amori; his siblings, Javori Hardy, Taylor Johnson, Quaylon Harris, Traylon Harris, Jaylon Harris; his grandparents, Evelyn and Jimmy Guillory; his great grandmother Mary Reado Rigmaiden; his nieces and nephews, Tyrius, Tilian, Titanna, Tayden, Avery, Ava, Jacory; and a host of aunts, uncles, and extended family.

Robert Johnson, his father would like to express that he loves his son dearly.

The family will welcome friends and family at University Baptist Church on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 beginning at 11am until time of service. A Rosary to be prayed at 1pm. The Celebration of his Life will begin at 2pm led by, Chantelle McNabb and Courtney Brown. He will be laid to rest at Perkins Cemetery in Westlake, LA.

The family would like to acknowledge Jaimori’s selfless decision in becoming an organ donor and how his selfless choice may help others to live longer, healthier lives.

In lieu of flowers, the family invites you to consider becoming an organ donor, or to make a donation in his memory to a local charity.
