James Allen Bello

James Allen Bello, 82, of Lake Charles passed away Monday, January 02, 2023 in a local healthcare facility.

Mr. Bello was born August 13, 1940 to Jimmie Joseph Bello and Ella Amond Bello in Lakeland, LA.  He was a graduate of Lakeland High School, Louisiana State University and served the United States Army during Vietnam.   Mr. Bello worked most of his career as a claims adjuster for the US Social Security Administration Lake Charles Office.  He was an avid runner, a member of the Lake Area Runners, participated in countless marathons and runners events in Southwest Louisiana including the Contraband Days 5 miler.  His greatest times were shared with his love, Gloria cruising the Caribbean. Mr. Bello will be most remembered for his smile and his love for his family.

He leaves to honor his memory, his wife of twenty-eight years, Gloria Kennedy Bello of Lake Charles; two stepchildren that he considered his own, Charles L. Kennedy, III and wife Kindra of Dallas, TX and April Kennedy of Lake Charles as well as their children that he loved as his own, Jared, Jonah and Carsyn Kennedy.

He was preceded in death by his only son, Christopher Allen Bello of Carlyss and his parents.

Graveside services will be at 1:00 PM Monday, January 09, 2023 at Consolata Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home.  Reverend Steve Shirley will officiate.  Inurnment will follow services.
