James Anthony "Jim" Crudele, 86, of Sulphur, LA passed away Tuesday, June 03, 2014 in a local care facility. Mr. Crudele was born, raised and educated in Canandaigua, NY. He served the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict and Vietnam War, retiring E7 with twenty three years in 1969. He made Sulphur his home town and began a second career at Kroger of which he also retired with many years of service. He loved fishing, cooking and especially loved people. He was most famous for his "Uncle Jim's spaghetti". Mr. Crudele was a Charter member of Indian Village Baptist Church. He leaves to honor his memory, three children, Danny Crudele and wife Barbara and Cathy Heater, both of Independence, MO and Denise Brown and husband Ron of Houston, TX; grandson, Eric Crudele and granddaughter, Debbie Smallwood; three great-grandchildren; five step-children; Jamie Goodman, Monica Russell, James Bertrand, Jaunesse Pitre and Farrah Merriman and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Anita Hebert Crudele; his parents, Samuel and Genevive Sawdey Crudele; four brothers and one sister. Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Friday, June 06, 2014 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Harry Methvin will officiate. Interment will follow in Hebert Cemetery in Hecker. Visitation Thursday will be from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM and will continue Friday from 8:00 AM until the time of service in the funeral home.
