James B. Emerson, 60, of Starks, La. died March 17, 2011 in Amarillo, Tx. Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 21, 2011 at 2p.m. in Robison Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends on Monday, March 21, 2011 from 11 a.m. until time of service at Robison Funeral Home. James was a native of Jonesboro, AR., and grew up in Iowa Falls, Iowa, then coming to LA. in 1989. He married his wife, Darthy on May 22, 1999. He was self-employed as a truck driver for 40 year and owned 2nd Chance Transportation, LLC. James is survived by his wife, Darthy Emerson of Starks, LA., daughter, Raetta and husband, Lucius and son by heart, Curtis James Mitchell all of Starks, LA., mother, Imogene Emerson of Iowa Falls, Iowa, 2 brothers, Pete Emerson and wife, Judy and Tim Emerson all of Iowa Falls, Iowa, 2 sisters, Becky Thompson and husband, Kent of Lawton, Iowa and Lisa Riebkes of DesMoine, Iowa. 5 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
