James Barton Hardee

James Barton "J.B." Hardee, 72, of Port Arthur, TX died on December 10, 2013 at his residence. Mr. Hardee was born February 19, 1941, and was a 1959 graduate of Ragley High School. He lived in Port Arthur for the past twelve years, and lived in the Lake Charles area sixty years prior. He worked as a truck driver for most of his life. Mr. Hardee is survived by his daughter, Charlenee Reneé Hardee of Groves, TX; son, Byron Joseph Hardee of Reeves, LA; grandchildren, Branden of Huntsville, TX, Jocilin of Mitty, LA, and Elisabeth of Lake Charles; and great-granddaughter, Gracelyn. He was preceded in death by his wife of fifty-two years, Nancy Joyce Trahan Hardee; parents, Gordan Hardee and Vera Hartwell; and brother, Ronald Gordan Hardee. His funeral service will be at 1:00 PM on Friday, December 13, 2013 at the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Chris Fuselier will officiate. Burial will follow in Creel Memorial Gardens in Bel, LA. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday from 10:00 AM until the start of the service.
