On October 20, 2014, my husband, our daddy, and our PaPa, was called to heaven. James was an avid fishermen and hooked plenty of fish and reeled in many great friends in his lifetime. Cameron Parish to James was heaven on earth. Enjoying life with his family and friends fishing, hunting, alligatoring, was something he did with a smile. He left his family with many great memories. His love for the Fur Festival and Outdoor Show in Maryland was some of his greatest memories. He made many great friends wearing that maroon alligator coat. PaPa loved watching Lady Tarpon and Hornet Softball, Tarpon Football, McNeese Cowgirls Basketball and Softball teams. He is survived by his wife of 48 years Patty Hebert Trahan of Grand Lake; his three daughters, Angelia and Blaine Conner, Dana and David Young, and June Trahan all of Grand Lake; daughter-in-law, Gayla Trahan; step-daughter, Mary Guidry Thomas of Texas; grandchildren, Justin and his wife Rachel, Dylan, Amber and James, Jonathon, Cody, Nate, Maeleigh, Harleigh, Tyson and Brady. His pride and joys were Cayson, Parker, and Aria. Step-grandchildren, Carson, Brason, Braxton, Aubrey, and Allisa. His sister, Barbara Wolfe and brothers, Jesse and Karen Nunez and Francis and Evon Trahan. He also considered his many nieces and nephews as his own. James is preceded in death by his parents Archie and Jewel Trahan of Johnson Bayou. His beloved son Brad Trahan, granddaughter Hannah, nephew Dennis Trahan, and his brothers, A.D., Pete, and Jack and his sister in law, Boonie.
