James Calhoun

James Calhoun, 65, of Sweetlake, LA died Sunday, March 2, 2014 at a local hospital. Mr. James was born on September 10, 1948 in Houston, TX to Joseph and Reba Calhoun. He loves wood working. He served his country in the U.S. Navy where he retired. He was also a Mason and was a member of a local Motorcycle Club. He and his wife shared a passion of showing dogs Nationwide. He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Sharon Calhoun; two sons, Chad Calhoun of Grand lake, LA and Shawn Calhoun of Lake Charles, LA; one grandson, Dusty Calhoun of Moss Bluff, LA; one sister, Gwen Calhoun of Houston, TX; and one brother, Warren Calhoun of Indianapolis, IN. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Larry Calhoun. Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Friday, March 7, 2014 at Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until time of service. Cremation will be entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home. Reverend Ronnie Estes will officiate services.
