James Charles Janise

James C. Janise, 74, of Lake Charles passed away at 12:30 PM on Monday, December 29, 2014 in a local hospital. Mr. Janise was born on August 31, 1940 in Lake Charles. He was a retired boilermaker. He is survived by his wife Lou Anna Janise; a son, Daniel Janise; three step daughters, Lorrie (Eddie) Martin of Red Oak, TX, Monica (Robert) Abshire of Westlake, and Belinda (Tommy) Reed of Elton; a brother, John Janise of Carencro, LA; three sisters, Delores Fontenot of Lake Charles, Nettie Goodman of Moss Bluff, and Joyce Jessen of Sulphur. He is also survived by four step grandchildren; four step great grandchildren; and one step great grandchild on the way. He was preceded in death by his parents, Palmier and Pete Janise and four brothers. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, January 2, 2015 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Jeff Starkovich will officiate. A gathering of family and friends will begin on Friday at 10:00 AM until the start of the service.
