James Claud Skinner

James Claud Skinner, 66 of Lake Charles, passed away Wednesday, September 29, 2021.  He was born on May 3, 1955. in Alexandria, LA.

James graduated from Winnfield High School in 1973 and went on to attend McNeese State University.  He served his country in the US Navy for 4 years after college.  He then went to work for the US Postal Service where he retired in 2016, after 32 years.

He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Conner Skinner; his children, Lauren May (Alan), James Skinner, III (Katie), Meagan Trahan (Shaun); 8 grandchildren, Daniel, Logan, McKenna, Elliot, Presley, Charlie, Collyn, and Finley.

It was Mr. Skinner’s wish that no service be held.  Cremation was entrusted to Simple Traditions by Johnson Funeral Home.  Burial will be in the SWLA Veterans Cemetery in Jennings, LA.
