James Curtis Jacobs

James Curtis Jacobs, 74, of Sulphur, LA passed away on July 18, 2022, in his residence. James was born on April 22, 1948, in Edgerly, LA to Vernon and Ada Jacobs.

James enjoyed being around his family and friends and all who he met over the years. He also enjoyed drinking his beer, fishing at Toledo Bend, and visiting. James worked as a pipefitter in the Construction Industry for many years.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 20 years, Renee Dugas Jacobs; 4 children, Cheryl Bernard, Christy Anaker and Michael, Chelsie Viator and Chad, and Wayne Pomes and Samantha; 4 stepchildren, Jason Dugas and Toni, Reginal Dugas and Amanda, Magdalene Dugas, and Rebekah Dugas; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; and one brother, Earl Jacobs and Delores.

He is preceded by his parents; and his first wife, Carolyn “Connie” Jacobs.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Saturday, July 23, 2022, at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until time of services at 2:00 PM at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home on Saturday, July 23, 2022. Cremation will follow services.
