James Keith Farque, 68, passed away in Houston, TX with his beloved wife, Kelly at his bedside, on April 22, 2025. He was born on March 24, 1957 to John W. Farque and Earlie Fontenot Farque in Lake Charles, LA.
Keith was a proud graduate of Grand Lake High School and the dedicated owner and operator of an oilfield transportation business for 48 years. A devoted Christian and family man, Keith loved God throughout his life and lived by that faith daily.
He will be remembered for his humor, kindness, generosity, and the way he instantly connected with everyone he met. He truly never met a stranger. Keith was a loving husband, a devoted father, papaw, and a dependable brother - always there when you needed him.
An avid outdoorsman, he found joy in fishing, crabbing, and hunting ducks, geese, deer, and even alligators.
Those left to cherish his memory are, his wife of 40 years, Kelly Phillips Farque; his daughter, Teisha Farque Spikes (Chance); his son, Michael Farque; his grandchildren, Averie Spikes, Cohen Spikes and Corbin Spikes; his sister, Sharon Duplechin; his brother, Terry Farque; his mother-in-law, Charlscie Stewart; his sister-in-law, Eva Philips; his sister-in-law & brother-in-law, Mary and Lindsey Savoie; and his sister-in-law, Jeanne Farque (Billy Farque, deceased).
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Roger Farque and Billy Farque; and his brother-in-law, Keith Duplechin.
Cremation has been entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home of Lake Charles.
