James Franklin Petross

James “Pete” Franklin Petross, Jr., 82, of Carlyss passed away on January 22, 2016 in his residence. He worked as an operator for Cities Service for many years before retiring as a supervisor. After retirement Jimmie worked for SPR oil storage. He enjoyed singing, fishing and being on his tractor.

Pete is survived by his wife of 62 years, Dorris Petross of Carlyss; his three children, Ernie Petross and wife Patricia of Carlyss, Kirk Petross and wife Marie of Groves, TX and Dortha “Sissy’ Valentine and husband Bobby of Sulphur; 7 grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sister, Barbara Bullington.
