James Guidry

James “J.R.” Guidry, 69 passed away on January 15, 2018 in the comfort of his home surrounded by his family.  James worked at Cities Service for 5 years and retired from W. R. Grace after 28 years.  He loved to fish, hunt, camp, ride his Harley and spend time with family and friends.  James was a loving husband, father and Paw Paw.

James is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Susan Stutes Guidry; his sons, James Allen Guidry and wife Penny and Jason Guidry and wife Brandy; his five grandchildren, Chance, Tyler, Corey, Dylan and Trevor Guidry; his brothers, Michael Guidry of Houston, TX and David Guidry of Calhoun, LA; and his best friend, Cecil Thibodeaux.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Lois Guidry and his father in law and mother in law Dudley and Lula Mae Stutes.

Services for James will be held on Friday, January 19, 2018 at 11 AM at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home in Sulphur.  Burial will follow at Mimosa Pines South.  The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 18, 2018 from 3-9 PM with a rosary at 6 PM and will resume on Friday from 9 AM until the time of service.
