James “Jimmy” Fontenot, 88, of Sulphur passed away on June 13, 2016 in the S W LA War Veterans Home in Jennings. He served his country in the US Navy during World War 11. Jimmy was a member of Life Church in Sulphur, enjoyed working in his vegetable garden, and spending time with his great-grandchildren.
Jimmy is survived by his son, Daniel Fontenot and wife Alice of Sulphur; his two grandchildren, Candice Lormand and husband Kenric of Moss Bluff and Christine Castille and husband Ty of Sulphur; 5 great-grandchildren, Mia Wallace, Sophia Lormand, Collin Castille, Christian Castille and Tyler Castille; and his sister, Marie Richard of Sulphur. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jimmie Lee Fontenot; his parents; a brother and 3 sisters.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 17, 2016 at 2 P.M. at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bobby Taylor officiating. Burial will be in Nibletts Bluff Cemetery in Vinton under the direction of Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Friday, June 17, 2016 from 10 A.M. at the Johnson and Robison until time of the service.
