James John Duhon “Pop”
James John Duhon “Pop”, of Sulphur, LA passed away on November 8, 2020.
Pop was born on August 9, 1939 in Sulphur, LA to Joseph and Eve Duhon. He was a devoted Christian and was of the Baptist Faith. Pop worked 20 years in the Oil Field Industry and 15 years in the Construction Industry and was a work-a-holic. He retired at the age of 63 to take care of his loving wife. Pop loved God, his wife, his children, his grandchildren, his great grandchildren, and of course his coffee. He also enjoyed John Wayne western movies, listening to Cajun French music, fixing things, and most of all spending time with his family.
Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Jason Duhon and wife Angela, John Duhon and wife Dawn, Jacob Duhon and wife Laura, Wade Duhon and wife Jeanette, Charles Duhon, Pamela Patin and husband Willie Sr., Angie Huerta and husband Alfredo; living siblings, Margaret Vincent, Jessie Duhon, Viola Vincent, and Frank Duhon; 31 grandchildren; and 35 plus great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Linda Lee Duhon; parents, Joseph and Eve Duhon; sisters, Helen Vincent and Betty Vincent; brother, Robert Duhon; daughter, Jeanette Vincent; and one grandson, Terry Vincent.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Friday, November 13, 2020 at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. Visitation will begin on Thursday, November 12, 2020 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. Visitation will resume on Friday at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home from 8:00 AM until time of service. Burial will be at Farquhar Cemetery.
