James Karl Bendixen

James Karl Bendixen, 88 of Lake Charles, LA died Friday, April 3, 2015 in a local hospital. James was born on October 9, 1926 in Lake Charles, LA to Karl and Ollie Bendixen. He was a native resident of Lake Charles, LA. He retired from Olin Corp as a shift supervisor after 36 years of service. He proudly served our country in the U.S. Navy during WWII and was a member of the Civil Air Patrol. James was a graduate of Lake Charles High School. He was also a post member of Boy Scout troop #1 2nd order of DeMolay. James was a past member of Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association. He is survived by many friends. He is preceded in death by his parents. A graveside service will be held at 2:30 PM Monday, April 6, 2015 at Highland Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home.
