James Lee Clanton, Sr.

James Lee Clanton, Sr. passed away on March 20^th, 2021. James was born on February 21, 1950 in Mooresville, NC to John and Elizabeth Clanton. He enjoyed working for Fluor Daniels and IMTC as an Iron Worker Supervisor during his profession. James loved fishing, hunting, and being around family and friends. He could always be found working on something or building something.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 34 years, Beverly Clanton; two children, Jessica Clanton and fiancé Leward Clement and James Lee Clanton, Jr.; two grandchildren, Trever Boutwell and Madilynnn Clement; brother, Tommy Clanton and wife Iris; and sister-in-law, Carol Clanton; and Joshua Blanchard who was very dear to his heart, like a second son. He is preceded in death by his parents; and two siblings, John Henry Clanton, Jr. and Billy Clanton.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM, Friday, March 26^th, 2021 at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. Visitation will begin from 9:00 AM until time of service on Friday, March 26^th, 2021 at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. Burial will be at Big Woods Cemetery in Edgerly under the direction of Johnson and Robison Funeral Home.
