James Levoy Brooks

James Levoy Brooks, 34, of Sulphur passed away on April 9, 2018. He enjoyed fishing, taking care of his animals, and listening to music.

James is survived by his father, Franklin Brooks and Vivian of DeRidder; one brother, Kim Miller; stepdad and stepmother, Mike and Crystal Trahan; aunt, Joyce Brooks; grandmother, Goldie Brooks; step-brother, Zackery Gann; 2 nieces, Rachel Brooks and Nevaeh Holbrook; nephew, Clarance Brooks; 5 sisters, Tori Monte, Shida Delcambre, Michelle Trahan, Renee’ Trahan,  Jasmine Bailey and their families; his Southern Brotherhood Brothers, James Bailey and wife Christina, Ron “Rolo” Laprime, Chris Kostielney and wife Krista, Roy Bailey and wife Cynthia; David Corsey, Jr.; and  Richard Holbrook and wife Destanie.  He was preceded in death by his mother, Leonia Carlile.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, April 15, 2018 at 2 P.M. at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Big Woods Cemetery in Edgerly under the direction of Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 15, 2018 from 12 P.M. at the funeral home until time of the service.
