James "Pete" Little

James “Pete” Little, 81, passed away in his sleep the evening of Tuesday, May 17, 2022, the Lake Charles Care Center. He was a long-time resident of Cameron and Calcasieu Parishes. He was born in Sulphur, Louisiana and lived a large part of his early years in Hackberry. He was currently residing in Sulphur.

James served his country in the United States Army. After his time in the service, he worked  several jobs including roughnecking, working for the Calcasieu Parish police jury, and for the Vinton police department. James was a fun-loving guy who loved to joke around, loved his daughter and grandchildren, Cajun music, and was an active member the American Legion

He is survived by his daughter, Carolyn Frazier, two grandchildren, Crystal Frazier, and Jamie Frazier; two great granddaughters, Sadie and McKenzie, all of North Caroline; three sisters, Billie Ogea of Tomball, Texas, Betty Manuel. and Linda Little of Cypress, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.

James was preceded in death by his father, Columbus Little of Hackberry; his mother, Alice Boudreaux of Sulphur; two brothers, Edgar “GoGo” Little of Hackberry, and Lawrence Little of Carlyss; two sisters, Nellie Mae Perrodin of Hackberry, and Gloria Swire of Grand Chenier.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 2PM Monday, May 23, 2022, in St Peter the Apostle Catholic Church of Hackberry. Father Jerish George, M.O.C. will officiate.   Burial will follow at Hackberry Community Cemetery. Visitation will be 10AM – 2PM, Monday, May 23, 2022, at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church Hall with a recitation of the Rosary at 1 PM.  Words of comfort and memories may be shared with the family at www.robisonfuneralhome.com.
