James Randal “Jim” Landry, 56, of Lake Charles passed away on Thursday, January 30, 2014 in LeBleu Settlement, LA. Mr. Landry was born on July 27, 1957 in Many, LA and was raised in the Iowa/Lake Charles area. Mr. Landry was a graduate of Iowa High School and was Valedictorian of his class. He graduated from McNeese State University with a BS in nursing and practiced nursing at Christus St. Patrick Hospital. Mr. Landry was a member of the nursing honor society. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and also leatherwork. Mr. Landry took great pride in his yard and kept it in perfect shape. He was also an excellent cook and often cooked for his family. Those left to cherish his memory are his loving, dedicated wife, Debbie Landry; two daughters, Christina and Lisa Landry; a son-in-law, Joshua Holland; three grandchildren, Tiffany, Kaylin, and Ryan Landry; two sisters, Karen Landry and Nancy Miles and husband Joe; a brother, Warren Landry and wife Debra; three nieces, Morgan Henning Estes, Hope Landry, and Hannah Miles; a nephew, Dillon Willer; his dearest friend, Gene LeBlanc; his mother, Dottie Howard Boone; and father, Paul Lovelace Landry. Visitation will be held on Monday, February 3, 2014 from 11:00 AM until 9:00 PM at Johnson Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday at Hillcrest Cemetery in Bossier City, LA.
