James Richard "Jimbo" Webb

James Richard “Jimbo” Webb, 62, of Lake Charles passed away at 8:05 PM on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 in a New Orleans hospital.

 

Jimbo was born on October 24, 1955 in Lake Charles where he was a lifelong resident and graduate of St. Louis High School. He furthered his education at LSU.  Jimbo was currently residing in Boutte, LA where he was working for Wink Engineering as a Survey Operations Manager and Professional Land Surveyor. He participated in several professional societies and was licensed in a number of states.  In his free time he enjoyed riding his motorcycle.

 

Those left to cherish his memory are his mother, Ruth Aumiller Webb of Lake Charles; brothers, George Fredericks “Rick” Webb, III (Jane) of Baton Rouge and Patrick Webb (Virginia) of Lake Charles; sisters, Debbie Webb (Russ Hill) of Xenia, OH and Anita Jo Isbell of Lake Charles; nephews, Kenny Webb (DeeDee) of Sulphur, Ryan Webb (Julia) of Lake Charles, Vito Hill of Middletown, OH, and Tom Hill of Columbus, OH; nieces, Jennifer Hammond (Daniel) of Austin and Anita Marie Hill of New York, NY; step niece, Mary Isbell (Devin Vargo) of Bethany, CT; uncle, Jack Aumiller (JoAnn) of Lake Charles; aunt, Marguerite Webb of Baton Rouge; a special friend, Shanna Agne of Lake Charles; seven great nieces and great nephews; and a host of cousins and their families.

 

He was preceded in death by his father, George F. Webb, Jr.; brother-in-law, Cecil Isbell; sister-in-law, Sarah Casey Webb; infant niece, Crystal Therese Webb; and six aunts and six uncles.

 

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 PM on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel.  Monsignor Jace Eskind will officiate.  Burial will follow in Consolata Cemetery.  Visitation will begin on Monday from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM and will continue on Tuesday from 1:00 PM until the start of the service.
