Janet Claire Edmondson

Janet Claire Edmondson, 62, of Lake Charles passed away at 5:05 AM on Thursday, December 3, 2015 in a local hospice facility.   Mrs. Edmondson was born on September 4, 1953 in Lake Charles. She lived in Lake Charles all of her life and was a 1971 graduate of LaGrange High School. Mrs. Edmondson was a member of Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church.   Those left to cherish her memory are two daughters, Jennifer Parish (Caleb) of Moss Bluff and Danielle Edmondson of Lake Charles; two sons, Billy Touvell (Amy) of Nekoosa, WI and Preston Edmondson (Kascie) of Huntsville, AL; three sisters, Sandy Lorentz (Tom) of Lake Charles, and Barbara Hogan (Tom) and Angie McBride (Craig) all of Westlake; three brothers, Ronnie Touvell (Annette) and Darrin Touvell (Carol) all of Lake Charles, and Clint Fontenot (Aimee) of Iowa; eight grandchildren, Gabe, Gavin, Mallori, Jack, Wes, Patrick, Brendan, and Preston Bryant; and her in laws, Mary Powell, Leisa Lutz, Teresa McKinnon (Charlie), Allen Powell (Tina) and Robert Edmondson (Juanita) all of Alabama.   She was preceded in death by her husband, Preston Edmondson; and her parents, Rose and William Touvell.   A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, December 7, 2015 in Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church. Rev. Jeff Starkovich will officiate. Burial will follow in Consolata Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will begin in the funeral home on Sunday from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM with a rosary to be recited at 6:00 PM. Visitation will resume on Monday from 8:00 AM until leaving for the church at 9:30 AM.
