Janet Curry Labiche

February 27, 1965 — April 10, 2021

Janet Curry LaBiche passed away Saturday, April 10, 2021 at home with her family by her side.  She was born February 27, 1965 in DeRidder, LA.

Affectionately known as “Sug” by her friends and grandchild, Janet will be remembered as a thoughtful, kindhearted and generous person.  She was a loving wife and mother, whose greatest joy was her family.  She was a perfectionist, crafty, and she enjoyed being outdoors, usually tending to her flowers.  She was a great cook, and a soccer mom who loved to shop.  Little known to most people, she was an avid LSU baseball fan.

Those left to cherish her memory are, her husband, Scotte LaBiche; her daughter, Emily LaBiche; her son, Wesley LaBiche (Anne Marie), both of Lake Charles; her sisters, Patricia Credeur (Jeffery) of Welsh, LA, and Licia Curry Kleinpeter (David) of DeRidder, LA; her grandson, Levi James LaBiche; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Gary Curry, and Wanda Dees Schroeder.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church.  The celebrant will be Father Levi Thompson.  Burial will follow in Consolata Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home.  Visitation will be at Lake City Baptist Church on Monday, April 12 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM, with a rosary being recited at 6:00 PM.  Visitation will resume on Tuesday at Lake City Baptist Church from 9:00 AM until 10:30 AM.

The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the staff of Heart of Hospice, and her personal caregivers for their love and compassion during her last days.

Memorial donations may be made to Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church.
