Janet Graham

The angels escorted Janet “Janette” Marie Myers Graham to her home in heaven on October 19, 2021.

Janet was born and raised in Lake Charles, LA, by George and Yola Maraist Martin Myers. Janet was the second to youngest of ten children. She is survived by her sister, Peggy Myers, and her brother, Louis Myers.

Janet was the mother of 7 children. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Franklin Graham, and her son, Carlton Blane Graham.

Left to cherish her memory are daughters, Belinda Hatman and Tracy Graham (Bobby Andrews), and her sons and their spouses, John Graham (Luly Aguirre), Clint Graham (Jill Carpenter), Mace Graham (Leslie Whittle), and Gabriel “Gabe” Graham (Rusty Touchet).

Janet has 13 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.

Janet was actively involved in her sorority for many years and always involved with her children’s scouting and school activities. She was a “Super Mom.” The best accomplishment of her life were her children. Her wishes were that her children support each other throughout their lives.

The family thanks “Heart of Hospice” for their tremendous help over the last 6 months of Janet’s life. Thank you for your emotional support for the family as well as caregiver for Janet. Their guidance helped the family accept and adjust to the changes in her health.

Janet will be laid to rest at Consolata Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home after a short visitation and mass at the Immaculate Conception Cathedral on Saturday, October 23, 2021. Visitation will begin at the church at 10:00 a.m. Saturday. A Mass of Christian Burial will start at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Levi Thompson will officiate. Committal prayers will be held following the service at Consolata Cemetery in the Westside Mausoleum.
