Janette Ann Fontenot Savoie

Janette Ann Fontenot Savoie, 75, of Lake Charles passed away at 11:59 PM on Tuesday, January 26, 2021 in a local hospital.

Mrs. Savoie was born on August 18, 1945 in Church Point and was raised in Lake Charles where she was a graduate of St. Charles Academy.  She then moved to Cameron for 11 years until returning to Lake Charles.  Mrs. Savoie obtained an associate degree from Sowela Technical Institute in 1994 and began her career as an LPN.  She worked for numerous local doctors, most recently working for Dr. Springer and Dr. Guillermo. 

She cherished her family and the time spent with them.  She adored her family and dedicated her life to them.

Those left to cherish her memory are a daughter, Missy Ogea (Lance); son, Jeff Savoie; and a sister, Becky Cheramie (Bubba) all of Lake Charles.  She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren, Cole Ogea, Griffin Savoie, Grace Ogea, and Hayden Savoie.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lynn Paul Savoie and her parents, Marjorie and Dalton Fontenot.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Friday, January 29, 2021 at University Baptist Church.  Cremation was entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home.
