Janice Marie Lebleu

Janice Marie LeBleu, 63, of Sulphur, passed away on September 8, 2020 due to health issues complicated by Hurricane Laura. She was born on January 16, 1957 in Church Point, LA.

She was preceded in death by her father, Pierre C. LeBleu, in 1973. She is survived by her mother, Shirley (Leger) East of Sulphur; sisters, Karen Sue LeBleu of Hurst, Texas, Debra Roberts of Wichita Falls, Texas (husband, Dudley Roberts); brother, Shane East of Sulphur; two nieces, Zoey Roberts of Fort Worth, Texas and Emma East of Sulphur; and one nephew, Gregory East of Sulphur.

Her three rescue dogs, China, Ellie Mae and Rusty were her faithful companions for many years. Janice was previously active in the deaf community in Sulphur and Lake Charles. She was an animal lover, especially dogs, and donated money to causes protecting them. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Humane Society, SPCA, and Best Friends Furever.

A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
