Jason Lee Cox

December 8, 1971 — April 24, 2022

Jason Lee Cox, 50, of Sulphur, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, April 24, 2022. Jason was a well-respected man, everyone who knew him loved him. He was a machinist at Gulf Machine shop, where he was bragged on by his co-workers and bosses alike for his quality and work ethic. Jason was a shooting enthusiast, worked on project vehicles such as his model A hotrod and his latest F150 Ford pickup project. He loved going out and visiting his “cabin in the country” on his property in Beauregard parish. Jason’s Faith in Christ has kept him going strong throughout his life and especially through the latter part of his illness. Most of all Jason loved his family and his good friends.

Those left to cherish his memory are his parents, Roger and Carol Cox; sisters, Shelley Downs (Kevin), Lauren Fruge (Chad), Kimberly Fordham (Chris); 9 nieces and nephews, and 4 great nephews.

Jason was preceded in death by his grandparents, Sam and Elda Cox, and Clyde and Annabelle Alcock.

A memorial service for Jason will be held on Friday, April 29, 2022, at 1PM at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home in Sulphur, La., with Pastor Larry LeFleur officiating.  The family will receive friends on Friday, April 29, 2022, beginning at 9AM until the time of the service.
