Jay Randall Phipps

Jay Phipps, 53, of Sulphur, passed away on Saturday, September 3, 2022, in the comfort of his home.  Jay was a graduate of Sulphur High School.  Jay helped with auto auctions in the auto industry.  He enjoyed football, wrestling, reading and playing video games.  Jay loved his nieces and nephew dearly. 

Jay is survived by his parents, Kenny and Linda Phipps; two brothers, Dr. Travis Andrew Phipps and Dylan James Phipps and wife Kendra; two cousins, Sconnie Granger and Natasha Moreau; three nieces, Kynleigh, Kollins and Dawsyn; one nephew, Hance; grandmother, Mary Ann Holmes; and aunt, Sandy Holmes.  He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Alton Ray Holmes and Andy Phipps. 

Services for Jay will be held on Tuesday, September 6, 2022, at 2 PM at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home with Father Edward Richard, M.S. officiating.  Burial will follow at Mimosa Pines Cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Monday, September 5, 2022, from 5-8 PM with a rosary recited at 6 PM and will resume on Tuesday from 9 AM until time of service.
