JD LeDoux was one of four children born to Pierre and Ruby LeDoux in Jennings, LA on June 14, 1939.
He was employed as a mechanic and carpenter for a real estate company, then as a mechanic for Calcasieu Parish School Board, and then as a maintenance man for St. Patrick Hospital until his retirement.
He was a lifelong member of Christ the King Catholic Church. He was a outdoorsman at heart, enjoying the fruits and beauty of God’s creations. He enjoyed fishing, especially the fight of a Gar. Often he would take his boat out to fish, shrimp, or to enjoy a ride. While at home you could find him working in his yard or vegetable garden, but nothing brought him more joy than to spend time with his children and family. Living next door to his grandchildren and great grandchildren brightened his day every day, he loved seeing them walking over, always to greet them with a hug and smile.
He was welcomed into Heaven by: his parents; a son, Calvin LeDoux; and a brother William LeDoux.
Those left to cherish his memory: two daughters, Darlene “Candy” (Earl) Pike and Kimberly LeDoux; two grandchildren, Candice Dean and Lor Fitkin; five great grandchildren, Chasidy Miller, Jordan Chesson, Serenity Chesson, Anna Fitkin, Tyler Fitkin; a sister, Brenda (Mike) Johnson; and a brother, Emery LeDoux.
The family will welcome friends at University Baptist Church on Wednesday, August 18, 2021 beginning at 11am until 2pm, with a Rosary to begin at 12pm.
