Jean Marie Nunez

Jean Marie (Liptak) Nunez, 62, of Longville, Louisiana passed away on Tuesday, December 15, 2020, surrounded by her loving family.  Jeanie was born November 2, 1958 to her parents, Edward J Liptak, Sr and Jean Lejeune Liptak in Albany, New York.  

She was raised in Rensselaer, NY and moved to Cameron, LA where she met the love of her life.  She and Anthony moved to the Ragley/Longville area where they raised their two sons.  She loved children and adopted every child she met straight into her heart.  She had a strong love for the Lord and enjoyed singing in church and teaching Sunday school. Jeanie left behind a legacy of love that all will miss.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 42 years, Anthony Lee Nunez; two sons, Jacob Anthony Nunez (April) of Lake Charles, LA and Joshua Lee Nunez (Cassie) of Longville, LA;  four sisters, Elizabeth A. Liptak of Houston, TX, Susan M. Bubar and Carolyn A. Liptak both of Denver, CO, and Jennifer A. Smith (Brian) of Sulphur, LA; two brothers, Edward J.  Liptak, Jr. of Lake Charles and Matthew W. Liptak (Nikki) of Lafayette; her godfather, James Earley of Albany, NY; and many aunts, nieces and nephews.  

She is preceded in death by her father and one brother, Edward David Liptak;

Visitation services will be held at Simple Traditions by Johnson Funeral Home in Lake Charles on Monday, December 21, 2020 at 1:00 PM.  Funeral services will be officiated by Reverend Trevor Kelley at 2:00 PM with interment at Westlake Memorial Gardens.
