Jeanelle Bertrand Vincent, 74, of Lake Charles died on Thursday, January 15, 2015 in a Cypress, TX hospital. Mrs. Vincent was born in Eunice, LA on November 21, 1940 and lived in Lake Charles for the past 72 years. She was a graduate of Marion High School. Mrs. Vincent was currently living in Houston, TX to be near her daughters and grandchildren. She attended Assembly of God Church in Texas and locally attended Christian World. In her earlier years, she enjoyed dancing. Mrs. Vincent will be remembered for always putting others before herself and was known as a caregiver. She adored her grandchildren and great grandchild. Those left to cherish her memory are two daughters, Valverta "Val" Scarborough of Tomball, TX and Kimberly "Kim" LeJune of Houston, TX; two sisters, Velma Langley and Loretta Shoemake and husband Clifford all of Lake Charles; four grandchildren, Aaron, Brandon, and Ashley LeJune and Joshua Scarborough; and a great grandchild, Wesley LeJune. She was preceded in death by her husband, Nolan Vincent; a son, Ricky Dupuis; her parents, Gertrude and Eddie Bertrand, Sr.; a brother, Eddie Bertrand, Jr.; and a sister, Juanita Jones. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, January 19, 2015 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Gary Evers will officiate. Burial will follow in Consolata Cemetery. Visitation will begin on Sunday from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM and will resume on Monday from 8:00 AM until the start of the services.
