Jeanette Adams

Jeanette J. Adams, 87, of Sulphur passed away on March 30, 2019. She was born in Jeanerette, LA and lived in Sulphur most of her life. Jeanette was a graduate of Sulphur High School in 1948 and worked as a school bus driver for Calcasieu Parish. She was a member of Our Lady of LaSalette Catholic Church, Legion of Mary, the Catholic Daughters, and the Lay Carmelites. Jeanette was also an accomplished seamstress and an artist.

Jeanette is survived by her daughter, Theresa “Terri” Theaux and husband Tom of Maurice, LA; 2 sons, John Adams and wife Debbie of Sulphur and Stephen Adams and wife Sharon of Moss Bluff; 9 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; 1great-great grandchild; and sister, Juliette McNamara of Demopolis, AL. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Harold Adams; and her parents, Paul and Josephine Guiberteau.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, April 4, 2019 at 10 A.M.  at Our Lady of LaSalette Catholic Church in Sulphur with Father Andrews Kollannoor, M.S. officiating. Burial will be in Mimosa Pines Cemetery South in Carlyss under the direction of Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 3, 2019 from 4-8 P.M. with a rosary at 6 P.M. at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. Visitation will continue Thursday, April 4 from 8 A.M. at Johnson and Robison until time of leaving for the church.
