Jeanette Ann Miller Potts, 55, of Lake Charles passed away Thursday, August 10, 2017 in a local hospital.
Mrs. Potts was born in Creole, LA and has lived most of her life in Lake Charles. She was a graduate of Barbe High School and attended Delta Tech. She worked many places throughout the years, some of those being, Livingston Land and Title, Rest Haven Center, Hackett’s Cajun Kitchen and Market Basket. During her younger years she followed her children’s interest and was a Girl Scout Daisy and softball team mom. During her later years, she was the Gypsy Motorcycle Club mom. Mrs. Pott’s enjoyed sewing, crocheting, writing, drawing and will be most remembered for coloring. She also enjoyed gardening and especially loved Orchids. Her greatest joy was caring for her granddaughter and the time they shared together.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter, Heather Potts Sensat and wife Jessica; son, David Joseph Potts; granddaughter, Gracie-Ray Marie Benoit; mother, Jean LaVergne Miller and uncle, Floyd LaVergne and wife Lurline, all of Lake Charles.
She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph K. Miller and sister, Jennifer Marie Veronie.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Monday August 14, 2017 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Marcus Wade will officiate. Interment will be in Doucet Cemetery in Grand Marais, LA. Visitation Monday will be from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM in the funeral home.
