Jeanette Louviere

Jeanette Ann Doucett Louviere, 80, of Lake Charles, LA died at 9:05 AM on Monday, November 1, 2010 in a local hospital.


Mrs. Louviere was born December 7, 1929 in Moss Bluff, LA, was a graduate of Gillis High School, and has lived in Lake Charles most of her life. She worked for the Calcasieu Parish Ward 3 Parks Department for almost twenty years. She enjoyed cooking, camping, and fishing and loved watching basketball in her recliner. She will always be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and also for her creative sense of humor.


Mrs. Louviere is survived by her children, Glenda White and husband Bob of Blountville, TN, Cindy Sensat of Moss Bluff, Frank Louviere and wife Laura of Ozark, MO, Frances Roberts and boyfriend, Michael Bourgeois of Lake Charles, and Karen McComb and husband Danny of Lake Charles; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren who knew her as "Gan"; and a host of nieces and nephews that will remember "Nanny".


She was preceded in death by her sons, Rocky Louviere and Glenn Sensat; and son-in-law, Sgt. Scott Roberts.


Her funeral service will be at 12:00 PM on Thursday, November 4, 2010 at the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Chris Fuselier will officiate. Burial will follow in Ritchie Cemetery in Moss Bluff. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Thursday from 9:00 AM until the start of the service.
