Jeanette Marcotte

Jeanette Alberta Bordelon Marcotte, 73, of Lake Charles, LA, died peacefully at 10:30 PM on Friday, August 3, 2018.

Mrs. Marcotte was born May 1, 1945 in Mansura, LA, lived in Avoyelles Parish and Baton Rouge for a number of years. She resided fifteen years in DeRidder, LA and for the past five years in Lake Charles. She enjoyed volunteering at God’s Food Box in DeRidder. She enjoyed Bingo, watching her cardinals and other birds, reading, putting puzzles together, and doing artwork, but her true passion in life was her family.

Mrs. Marcotte is survived by her daughter, Regina Sims and husband Gary of Moss Bluff; sons, Shane Marcotte and wife Angela of Denham Springs, LA and Troy Marcotte and wife Katrina of Leesville; grandchildren, Dustin Messer and partner Nicolas Campo, Jared Messer and wife Stormie, Dillon Messer and fiancée Jessica Loyd, Sara Ducote, Savanah Marcotte, Samantha Marcotte, Anthony Marcotte, and Maddison Elmore; and twenty great-grandchildren with another one on-the-way.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Marcotte; parents, Ernest and Montez Bordelon; and sister, Juanita Schmit.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. Her cremation was entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home.
