Jeffery Lynn Benoit

Jeffery Lynn Benoit, 48, of Lake Charles passed away Thursday, January 11, 2018 in a local hospital.

Mr. Benoit was born in Lake Charles and lived most his life in Hayes. He was a graduate of Bell City High School and worked as a Carpenter in the Construction industry, currently for Tony Tommasi. He enjoyed riding four wheelers, mud riding and fishing. He was a talented craftsman in wood working, leaving many priceless pieces for his family. Mr. Benoit was kind and giving, helping many friends and family with whatever “handy man” job they needed. He will be most remembered for taking care of his mother and his love of family.

He leaves to honor his memory, his mother, Jeanette Broussard Benoit of Lake Charles; brother, Kris Benoit and wife Stephanie of Hayes; sister, Katrina Benoit of Sulphur; one niece, his godchild, Marina Hebert and husband Andrew; nephew, Shelby Benoit; great-niece, Harley Grace Hebert and two great-nephews, Konner Lee Hebert and Maverick Lane Hebert.

He was preceded in death by his father, August “Peanut” Benoit.

Funeral services will be at 5:00 PM Tuesday, January 16, 2018 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Deacon George Carr will officiate. Visitation Tuesday will be from 12:00 PM until 8:00 PM in the funeral home.
