Jeffrey Scott Moffett, 57, died Tuesday, February 2, 2016, in a local hospice facility.
He was born in Lake Charles, Louisiana, to Worth Scott Moffett, III and Carolyn Sue Stevens Moffett. Jeffrey was a 1976 graduate of Barbe High School and attended Nicholls State University. He was a craftsman in the construction industry.
Jeffrey is survived by his father, Worth Scott Moffett, III and wife Judy of Lake Charles; one sister, Diana Moffett Walker and husband Frank Walker, Jr. of Lake Charles; one brother, James Weston Moffett and wife Marilyn of Dallas; stepfather, John Shank of Lake Charles; and numerous nieces and nephews and extended family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Carolyn Sue Stevens Moffett Shank.
Jeffrey loved the outdoors and especially the Rocky Mountains of Glacier National Park. He found great peace in these surroundings.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, March 12, 2016, at the Episcopal Church of Good Shepherd at 715 Kirkman Street. The Reverend Frances Kay will officiate. Visitation will be from 10 A.M. until service time in Hardtner Hall at the church.
His remains will be scattered in Swiftcurrent Valley in Montana.
