Jennie Beth Blake Sellers, 81, of Carlyss entered the gates of heaven on May 29, 2016. She was surrounded by family singing hymns in the comfort of her home.  She was a 1952 graduate of Sulphur High and co-owner of Blake Building Materials. Jennie was a dedicated member of First Baptist Church of Carlyss (Southside) for over 70 years.  She was a devoted servant until the very end. She enjoyed sewing, shopping, reading, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Jennie will be greatly missed by her husband of 63 years, Billy G. Sellers; her daughter, Melinda Mobley (Dale); her son, David Sellers (Lyubov); her brother, Carl “Nicky” Blake (Alexis) all of Carlyss; 6 grandchildren: Julie Richard, Laura Geroux, Bradley Sellers, Stacey McCown, Jennifer Ellender, and Matthew Mobley; 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Ora Blake; daughter, Melissa Oliver; and siblings, Larry Blake and Maxine Harger.

Funeral services will be held at First Baptist Church of Carlyss (Southside) on Thursday, June 2, 2016 at 1 P.M. with Bro. Steve Ramsey and Bro. Glynn Tyson officiating. Burial will be in Mimosa Pines Cemetery in Carlyss under the direction of Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at First Baptist Church of Carlyss (Southside) from 3-8 P.M. and will resume on Thursday, June 2, 2016 at 11 A.M. until the time of service.
