Jennifer Gayle Manard

September 2, 1976 — February 17, 2023

Jennifer Gayle Manard, 46, of Sulphur passed away peacefully in her home on Friday, February 17, 2023.

Jennifer was a lifelong Sulphur resident and a 1994 Sulphur High School graduate. She attended Our Lady of LaSalette Catholic Church and made her Cursillo in 2012. Jennifer loved sports and was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys and Alabama.  She had a huge personality and a heart to match; Jennifer was always finding a way to help those in need – participating in poker runs and organizing benefits. She worked as a bartender, a welder, and various other jobs.  Jennifer loved riding her motorcycle and she loved to dance.  Most of all, Jennifer loved spending time with her family, especially spoiling her grandchildren. She will be remembered for her giving heart, love of life, outgoing personality, and her very strong will.

Left to cherish her memory are two sons, Tylor Ross Manard, and Kade Patrick O’Quinn and his wife, Dori Anna, all of Sulphur; parents, Ross and Rhonda Manard of Sulphur; two grandchildren, Kaislyn and Brigden; sister, Jessica Leigh Manard Chaisson and her husband, R.J., of Sulphur; nieces and nephews, Gayge, Kaleigh, Trace, Kenzie, and Kassidy; and one great niece, Ember.

Jennifer was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Edward Lee and Joyce Manard; and maternal grandmother, Carolyn Ancelet.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 am, Thursday, February 23, 2023, at Our Lady of LaSalette Catholic Church in Sulphur. Father John Welch, M.S. will officiate. Visitation will be 3 – 9pm, Wednesday, February 22, 2023, with a Cursillo Rosary at 6pm in Johnson & Robison Funeral Home. Visitation will resume Thursday, 8am – 10:30am in the funeral home until time of leaving for the church. Burial will be in Big Woods Cemetery under the direction of Johnson and Robison Funeral Home.
