Jennifer Marie Veronie

Jennifer Marie Veronie, 47, of Lake Charles, died Monday February 3, 2014 at a local hospital following a brief illness. Jennifer was born in Lake Charles on December 20, 1966. She was a graduate of Barbe High School and of the Catholic faith. She was employed at Resthaven Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for many years. Jennifer was preceded in death by her father, Joe Miller. Those left to honor and cherish her memory are her husband of 17 years, James Veronie, Lake Charles; mother, Jean Lavergne Miller, Lake Charles; sister, Jeanette Potts; niece, Heather Nicole Potts; nephew, David Joseph Potts and wife Kayla, and their daughter, Gracie Raye Potts; and her faithful four legged friend, Nina. A Mass of Christian Burial will be observed at 11:00 AM today, Wednesday February 5, 2014 at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church with Father John Huckaby serving as celebrant. Visitation will be from 8:30 AM until 10:30 AM today at Johnson Funeral Home. Burial will be in Doucet Cemetery near Roanoke, LA.
