Jerel Dorman Glass

Jerel Dorman Glass, 85, of Moss Bluff, LA died at 8:55 AM on Tuesday, July 12, 2011 in his residence.

Mr. Glass was born July 10, 1926 in Fulton, LA to John and Eva Rion Glass, Jr. He graduated from Glenmora High School and served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He retired as a Captain from the Lake Charles Fire Department, and worked as a business agent for the Iron Workers Local 678 and construction worker. In retirement, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. Mr. Glass was a dedicated member of Livingway Pentecostal Church. He had a passion for helping those in need and loved the outdoors and "his animals."

Mr. Glass is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

His funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Thursday, July 14, 2011 at Livingway Pentecostal Church. Reverends Johnny Harrell, Glenn Massey, and Charles Nugent will officiate. Burial will follow in Prien Memorial Park. Visitation will be at Johnson Funeral Home on Wednesday from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Visitation will continue on Thursday at the funeral home from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM and at the church from 1:00 PM until the start of the service.
